Marilyn Monroe Joe DiMaggio were marred at San Francisco City Hall on Thursday, January 14, 1954. Monroe filed for divorce on grounds of mental cruelty nine months after the wedding. After Monroe’s death in 1962, DiMaggio had red roses delivered to her crypt two to three times a week for some twenty years.
