This is the Beaver, one of three ships carrying tea to Boston in 1773. 340 crates of tea were tossed into the harbor by Colonists dressed as Mohawk indians from three ships, the Beaver, the Dartmouth and the Eleanor. One of the "Indians" was Thomas Rowe, the man who owned the ships. He lost 50,000 Pounds of cargo, $2M in today's currency. Rowe's Wharf is named for him. The ship is the exact size replica of the original and is in Boston with her sisters.
