The Custom House Tower in Boston. The base was built in 1849 and the tower in 1915, the second "skyscraper" in America and the tallest building in Boston for decades. Made of Quincy Granite, ships used to sail right up the building, but because Boston has been filled in so much, it's now about 1000 feet to the harbor. Abandoned in 1987, the clock was refurbished by DEC and the building bought by Marriot for timeshares. There is a tour every day at 2PM of the observation deck, a great city view.
