D.B. Cooper leaped from the plane somewhere over Portland, Oregon. It was dark out, and raining. On his empty plane seat lay a black tie. The businessman had disappeared. The hunt for a hijacker was on. Jets were scrambled, and tests were run. The entire flight path was studied, and studied again. More than 1,000 military personnel were sent to search the ground around the area where Cooper jumped. They found no trace of him, no clues, and no new leads.
