Actress Carole Lombard's last Bond Drive appearance as she leads the crowd in The Star Spangled Banner. Ms. Lombard died the next day in a plane crash while being flown to her next Bond Rally location. Life Magazine Jan 26 1942. Reminds me of the novel Songbird Under a German Moon.
