Temple Houston, son of Sam Houston, orphaned at 7; raised by a sister. At 19, he graduated w/honors from Baylor with a law degree, passed the bar to become the youngest practicing lawyer in TX. He spoke French, Spanish 7 Indian languages. He became renowned for defending prostitute Millie Stacey in 1899. His closing summary (The Soiled Dove Plea) is still studied by law students today. It's considered the perfect defense argument and a masterpieces of oratory in the English language.
