ANNE PICKERING (1514-1582)-EXCERPT:The ward of Sir Richard Weston, who married her to his son, Francis (1511-May 17, 1536). Sir Francis Weston was one of the men accused with Anne Boleyn and executed. Anne pleaded with the king to spare his life even though he may have been unfaithful to her if not with the queen then with Margaret Shelton, one of Anne Boleyn's ladies in waiting. Weston sent a letter to his family, asking for forgiveness, "especial to my wife."
