Thomas Culpepper, Tudor courtier, the 'beautiful youth' who was a great favourite of Henry VIII.-St. Sepulchre without Newgate-On 10th December 1541, Thomas Culpeper, a gentleman of Henry VIII.’s privy chamber, was taken to Tyburn. Condemned for treason and having committed adultery with Henry’s fifth queen, Katherine Howard, he was beheaded in front of a large crowd. His body was buried here, in St Sepulchre without Newgate.
