Facial reconstruction on skeleton found under a car park in Leicester England shows how Richard III, much maligned King of England from 1483-1485, last of the Plantagenet kings, looked. Richard was accused of killing his nephews, the "Princes in the tower",and was defeated in The Battle of Bosworth Field. He was the last English king to die in battle. Henry VII became king after Richard. Shakespeare had much to do with the smearing of Richard III at the behest of the Tudor monarchs.
